The world of football is gearing up for the most sensational game at Euro 2024. Kylian Mbappe is set to clash with his idol Cristiano Ronaldo in the quarter-final at Europe’s premium international football tournament.
Ronaldo-led Portugal sealed their last eight spot with a hard-fought win against Slovenia in the Round of 16, as after a goalless 120 minutes the game went to a penalty shootout. The 2016 winners will look to shock the star-studded France national team once again.
Enjoying an unbeaten run at the ongoing competition, France will lock horns with Portugal after edging past Belgium in the Round of 16 clash, where Jan Vertonghen gave Les Bleus the lead with an own goal in the 85th minute. Didier Deschamps will now aim to get past a challenging Roberto Martínez-coached team.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)
The legend is not having an ideal campaign at Euro 2024. After featuring in all the games, the 39-year-old Portugal captain has still not been able to score a goal. His only goal contribution has been an assist for a Bruno Fernandes goal against Turkey.
One of football’s greatest, Ronaldo was in tears after what could have been the match-winning penalty from him in extra-time was saved. His side showed character by having his back when he seemed broken. However, knowing Ronaldo’s stories of epic comebacks, one can expect him to produce another heroic game against a formidable French side.
Kylian Mbappe (France)
The lethal forward has always delivered while playing for Les Bleus. To-date, he has 48 goals and 34 assists in just 82 international games. Euro 2024 has also been good for the new Real Madrid signing.
Mbappe provided an assist in the campaign opener, while scoring a goal in the draw against Poland. He has 67% goal participation for France at the ongoing competition. The biggest challenge for João Cancelo, Nuno Mendes, Pepe and Rúben Dias would be to obstruct Kylian Mbappe.
